Happy Sweet 16!

This year Austin turned sweet 16! We decided that it was time we do a surprise 16Th birthday party, we took extra care to keep it a surprise, all of Austin's friends were very excited to actually surprise him and truly kept it hush...Here is Austin walking into the kitchen from the back entrance to one very packed kitchen full of friends and family yelling "SURPRISE!" to him, Love the reaction.
This is one of Austin's friends from school, her name is Rachel, she is a sweetie who seems to have a crush on Austin, she was so excited to be invited. Austin has a crush on her too! :) (aww puppy love)

Another good friend of Austin's, this young man is Austin Smith..I know two Austin's together..good thing they are good kids and not into creating trouble!

Austin's very close friend I would even venture to say his best friend, Wiggler his cousin and a friend Isalyia and our dear friend Tammy..she says she is very pale compared to our islander friends...she right :)

Malia and Isarenina, in the little girls room hanging out waiting for the party to start, I had to post this, I used to teach Isarenina at church and this just cracked me up.

My dear friend Nancy, she teaches seminary too and was so happy to be invited to celebrate Austin's birthday and hang out with her "kids" :) I truly love Nancy and her wonderful friendship, she is amazing, a genuine sister through Christ :)

Most of our guest's there are a few missing we missed getting all of our guest's on camera but did pretty good.

Elise was just promoted to Lieutenant Commander in her NJROTC unit which means...she is second highest rank in the unit, very big accomplishment. I thought it would be nice to add these last two pictures since NJROTC is a big part of both Elise and Austin's lives, don't they look sharp?

And finally a snazzy picture of our man Austin in his uniform for NJROTC. He is a freshman this year so he is not highly "decorated" yet with high ranks etc. give him time and he will be. I just think he looks really nice in his uniform. They had to order him new pants because he is so tall and thin..they didn't have any that fit he sure is growing up. Austin ranks at Seaman right now.
Also Austin was ordained to the office of a priest on his birthday which was the 15th. He will be blessing the sacrament this Sunday...my oh my how the time is going by!
