Fathers day 2010

On Saturday we all went to Fort Humbodlt and took a little tour of the park, this is the train that was running that day.

Grandma and Grandpa riding the train with Zachariah and Austin

Janelle and Malia riding on the other side across from grandma and grandpa. It was a fun little ride and interesting to Grandpa. A lot of logging history is at Fort Humboldt, we were lucky to visit on a day that it was open and running.

My dad on Fathers day at the Womens Federation Grove, building a fire for us to snuggle up to when the cool breeze would blow. It gets a bit cool in the redwood forest and even in the middle of June a nice fire is appreciated.

Me with my parents on Fathers day 2010. We all had attended church in the morning then I planned a picnic and nice drive to the Womens Federation grove. My dad commented a couple of times how amazed he was at how calm and quiet it was there. I love that about the redwoods and thought it was neat that my dad noticed that.

This quote is above one of the four fireplaces that are at the grove, I really like this and what it says.

Royce opening his gift from the kids.

Modeling his gift from the kids, it fit perfectly and looks really nice on him.

Janelle enjoying the fore Grandpa built.

Austin just hanging out and enjoying the fore as well.

Here are both my parents enjoying a moment with all the California grandkids they have. We had a wonderful week-end and enjoyed the picnic, it was a really nice way to wrap up the time together and relax after some very full and eventful days. The time spent went far to quickly as it always does, but the time together was enjoyable and memorable. I am so thankful my parents took the time to travel here and chose to spend their vacation time with us, it means so very much and I lack for the words that truly express my gratitude and love for them.
