We finally got to go see Austin run! He did Cross Country last Fall and did fantastic in it but how exactly do you go watch your son run cross country? When he decided to run track this Spring we vowed that we would attend any home meets to root him on and hopefully an away meet or two if they are not to far away. Here he is on lap two of his 800 meters.
Running lap three..looking pretty good here. Austin has good running form and tries really hard to push himself to beat his time, his goal is to have a 5 minute mile.
Here he is final lap. He ran pretty hard and did a 5:40 time for his mile at this particular track meet. I think his time was fantastic but some other guys beat him, not by much though. He was disappointed that he didn't make better time, but again I think he did great. Austin has a wonderful talent and is growing in that talent. He is a freshman this year and has done fantastic so far, I am sure he will continue to grow and develop with time.

WhooHoo Austin! What a handsome young man you are growing to be. Be careful of all those girls, They will try to steal you away from your momma an dad. Keep on runnig. You will only improve! Love you so much.
