Today is Malia's sixth birthday what an exciting day! Malia has been counting down for this day for the last two months it seems, but really more in detail the last two weeks. I am taking carrot cake cupcakes with cream cheese frosting to school today and will read a book Malia picked out for me to read to her class. She has picked lasagna with garden salad and bread for dinner and chocolate cherry cake for her birthday cake (black forest cake). We traditionally do these things for each of our kids so this is something each of them look forward too. Malia seems to believe that this is her day "to be in charge" I think because she gets to choose whats for dinner and so forth. She has asked for a snowboard for her birthday gift..I am not sure where that is coming from seeing how none of us snowboard. I don't think she will be disappointed with her gifts however despite that there is no snowboard in the packages. Malia is the baby of our family and is growing so fast. We enjoy Malia very much and her sweet little spirit that seems to burst from every seam of her being. The joy and love that Malia brings to our home is UN-measurable, here are a few things that we love about Malia...
1. Malia is always positive
2. Malia is the most "happy child" you will ever meet
3. She sings ALL the time
4. Malia shares very nicely
5. Malia is funny, silly and likes to make us laugh
6. She is self entertaining most of the time
7. Malia has a good independent streak in her
8. Malia seems to know what she likes and lets you know it
9. She loves to cuddle
10. She is very loving
11. Malia is kind to everyone
12. Malia gets along with everyone (her teacher is amazed by this)
13. She loves to be a helper
14. Malia is very smart
15. She has a ton of energy
16. Malia seems to always wear a smile
17. She enjoys nature and the beauty that surrounds us
18. Malia doesn't seem to be afraid of anything (literally)
19. Malia loves primary
20. Malia is an artist (she will tell you she is) she loves to color and paint and is really good at it!
21. Malia is a "modest" police person (she knows and tells you what is and is not modest) this is common when watching TV..so cute
We love and adore our little Malia and are so thankful that she is our blessing and that we are entrusted with her. She is so lively and bubbly and to sum it up in one word "contagious" We love you Malia and love the lovely little person that you are growing up to be! Happy Birthday baby!
